Brent was born in Sydney and graduated from medicine at Sydney University in 2004. He completed ophthalmology training at Sydney Eye Hospital with further oculoplastic subspecialty training in the United Kingdom and Italy.
Brent has lived and worked full time in Wagga Wagga since 2016. He is involved with the training of ophthalmology registrars from Sydney and is a Conjoint Associate Professor with the University of New South Wales Medical School. He teaches medical students at both UNSW Medical School and the University of Notre Dame Medical School and is actively involved with clinical research. Brent’s wife grew up in Wagga and they have four boys together.
